How this compares

For reference, as published or reported in October 2026: Userpilot Starter $299/mo (2,000 MAU), UserGuiding Starter $174/mo billed yearly; Appcues does not publish prices on its pricing page. Frigade, an AI assistant, lists Growth at $1,000/mo. Enterprise digital adoption platforms (WalkMe, Whatfix, and Pendo beyond its free tier) are quote-only, with reported median contracts between about $32k and $48.5k per year. Sources and details are on each comparison page.

Pricing questions

Can I pay today?

Not yet. Wayhint is in early access: sign-up and billing aren’t open, so nothing can be charged.

What counts as a monthly active user?

A visitor who asks Pepper at least one question in a calendar month. People who browse your site and never open the guide do not count.

Do I need to talk to sales?

No. Free, Starter and Growth will be self-serve. Business is a conversation because it usually involves a DPA, a data region or running the guide in your own infrastructure.

What happens if I go over my plan?

Billing isn’t open, so nothing happens automatically. Usage limits will apply once it opens.

Which AI model does Pepper use?

The hosted guide uses Claude. The guide API also works with OpenAI-compatible model servers such as vLLM or Ollama; running it in your own infrastructure is planned for Business.

How do I stop using it?

Remove the script tag and Pepper is gone from your site. There is nothing to cancel during early access.

Is every feature in the table live today?

The guide, masking, privacy attributes and observe mode work today. The explorer and written flows are run with you at onboarding. Rows marked “Soon” or “Planned” are not built yet.

Try it on your own site today.

Paste one script tag. Free up to 500 monthly active users. No card, no flows to build.
